Privacy Policy — mybike.love

mybike.love (“we”, “the app”) is a local-first garage for your bicycles. This policy explains what information is processed, where it is stored, and your choices. We do not require a mybike.love account to use core garage features.

1. Data stored on your device

Bike records, photos, documents, components, service entries, people profiles, and related settings are stored locally in the app’s private storage on your device (SQLite and local files). This content is not uploaded to mybike.love servers as part of normal garage use.

2. Backups

When you use platform backup, data may be included in your device’s backup channel:

iOS: Apple iCloud backup of app data, subject to Apple’s privacy terms
Android: Google Drive App Data backup where enabled, subject to Google’s terms

We do not operate a separate mybike.love cloud sync service in the current release.

3. Optional AI features

Some features (for example AI-assisted bike setup or market value suggestions) require a network connection. When you use them, the text you submit for that request is sent to our API and processed via a third-party AI gateway (OpenRouter) using a search-grounded model (for example Perplexity). We minimize what is sent: bike photos are not included in the AI request for the current product scope. AI suggestions are shown for your review and are not saved into your garage until you explicitly confirm.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play through RevenueCat. Purchase receipts and entitlement status may be processed by those providers according to their policies. We do not receive your full payment card details.

5. Analytics and identifiers

We may process limited technical or usage events needed to operate the app and subscriptions (for example device or install identifiers used by the store / RevenueCat). We do not sell your personal information. We do not use bike names, photos, or component details as advertising content.

6. Export and deletion

You can export JSON metadata of your garage from Settings. Uninstalling the app removes local app data from the device (platform backups may retain copies until you manage them in iCloud or Google settings).

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). You may record people (including minors in a household) as local profiles you manage; that data stays on device under your control.

8. International processing

Optional AI requests and purchase validation may be processed on servers outside your country. By using those features you acknowledge that processing.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
